We hope every Women in Black vigil around the world can send a message to the conference. In addition, if you have comments on what you hear and see in the conference audio and video sessions, you can send them here as well. They will be posted at the conference and here online, in their original language, and in translation if possible. Please send comments to jerusalem@womeninblack.org. If you can help with translation, please send a note to jerusalem@womeninblack.org as well.

| Bonjour 3 femmes de notre groupe participent à la Conférence de Jérusalem. Il s'agit de Jo - Cécile et Delphine Vernet. Avec elles, c'est tout le groupe des Femmes en Noir de Montbrison qui participent à ce rassemblement. Nous vous souhaitons un bon rassemblement. Nous espérons de toute nos forces que la paix va finir par s'installer car il n'y a pas d'autres solutions : les 2 peuples doivent pouvoir vivre et faire vivre leurs enfants dans la dignité et la fraternité. | Dear Women - who have come to Jerusalem in order to take steps towards peace together. We, the women in black in Hamburg, greet you. May there be a fresh wind in your conferences - like ours in Hamburg! We wish and we hope that animosities and mutual fears decrease in Israel and Palestine so that normal life beside and with one another is possible. We wish your activities to be full of inspiration and enthusiasm. We are looking forward to hearing from our German friends. Many thanks to all those who planned and worked together that via internet the whole world can participate in the international meeting, that we can be close to you in Jerusalem during these days. | Greetings from the home town of Susan B. Anthony! Best wishes to all for a dynamic conference. Today is the first I have heard of WiB; there is no local group. For your information and encouragement: (1) We do have a local vigil monthly against the violence of the death penalty, held outside our Hall of Justice. It is good to be able to report that the death penalty in New York State has been rendered inapplicable, and that no persons have been executed since it was reinstated in 1996 -- although there are two currently held on death row at Dannemora. (2) A local group called the "Raging Grannies" are garbed usually in black with large hats and aprons. They write protest song parodies on a variety of peace and justice issues, and appear at local legislative meetings and other public venues and events. To all: Shalom, Salaam, Peace, Paz, Pace, Paix!
